The title of Cock-of-the-Rock’s sophomore album Never Trust A Bird was not a warning against all birds, only the gigantic ones that made up the band itself! Intergalactic bad boys COTR did not let their fifteen-foot wingspan take away from their ability to put on one of the most creative stage shows since Trash Kings set the bar 500 years prior. Lasers, smoke, holographic images, virtual reality; every trick to enhance their music was used to unbridled success: fans packed arenas until standing room only became a serious fire hazard. Featuring homages to calls practiced as youths on their home planet of Andean 929, the slick production of their album and the tasty beats that encouraged hips to move across the universe spawned over three dozen dance moves including the Feather Shuffle, the Cock-a-Doodle, and the Peck & Shake.
