Depending on where you land in the universe, Brain Freeze may mean one of two things (there is a third one, but we don't talk about it anymore, for obvious reasons): either you've just snorted a pile of blue crystalline that rushes straight to your nervous system OR you've just had a bit too much of the delicacy known as ice cream and your head is now shuddering from the temperature. A cream-based treat hailing originally from exoplanet YYY7, it has been adapted by thousands of different cultures to suit their local fruits, sweeteners, and other add-ins that elevate the original recipe to new heights. On YYY7, the original shop that first cultivated and sold ice cream, The Cooler, still stands today, pumping out tasty new flavors and even tastier beats. Hired as a house band, Brain Freeze, who took their name from the aforementioned moment where you've had just a tad too much of the creamy dessert, has had many members. As some have faded away or moved on to bigger projects, the spirit of the group has remained. Injecting a bit of flair and mood into The Cooler meant customers would stay longer and buy more flavors like Stingleborry Swirl, Mudda Chip, and local favorite Beannington Bash (don't forget the extra Ringzeez). While always popular, the band and the shop had a resurgence some time in the mid-4000s, and, to boost sales, they committed the old standards and some new beats to vinyl. Now, visitors, who could only dream of the songs they had heard, could relive them (along with a to-go pint) in the comfort of their own domiciles. Cooler If You Did. became a smash hit, and a precursor to those annoying, artificial meditative albums you see while waiting in line for Hot Bean Water. There were many imitators, just like those who tried to steal The Cooler's flavor formulas (which would later become Brain Freeze's sophomore album Give Me The Secret Formula), but none would hit the silky smooth heights of Brain Freeze or their ode to members, and flavors, past, present, and future.
