Sigus Vii, a once valuable member of the House of Beylerbey, a ruling monarchy in the Bell Tower Galaxy, had one sole purpose: that of an entertainer. Jokes, tall tales, and, of course, music, were his bailiwick. Serenading the ruler Herald Davil IX and the rest of the Herald's offspring at their mountainside castle was an easy enough occupation (one where the penalty for a lapse in judgment was a severe guillotining). Sigus played beautiful compositions, both haunting and tasty, often occupying a night's worth of time to play to their completion. By the end of such a performance, most, if not all, of the House's guests had fallen asleep. The imbibing of inebriating drinks and hearty meats and cheeses played a part, but Sigus was mostly biding his time. On the night of a particularly full House, Herald Davil invited Sigus to play for their esteemed guests, the Lucards of Ruse XIV. Dear Audionauts, Sigus did play his heart out, thundering away at his towering synthesizer, outfitted with over 100 pipes to distort and amplify the sizzling beats. Four hours later, and only eight songs deep, Sigus realized that he had once again sent the House into a slumber, even the guards who were manning the doors. With haste, he darted from his post and slipped into the catacombs, avoiding bats and spiders, searching for an escape route. When the guests suddenly came to, supposedly because the music had stopped, they called out into the night for a blood sacrifice: Sigus'. Sloshing his way through the dark underbelly of the castle, he heard the cries of a lonely wolf, injured and abandoned. The wolf spun him a tale of great import: for he was the former jester who had kept the House of Beylerbey in check. Fearing this would be his fate, Sigus, and the wolf escaped into the surrounding forest and down the mountain as torches and pitchforks waved in the distance. Together, they unleashed upon the world their only album, Blood Sacrifice, a symphony of dark, groovy beats which had once put the monarchy to bed early. Do you dare listen, Audionauts, under the penalty of sleep? Or will you have the fortitude to endure the Wolf of Wrath?
