Two weeks holed up in a hotel on the bright side of Mercury had all the makings of the perfect jam session but for the band formerly known as Sergeant Peanut & The Nutty Buddies it quickly devolved into a fever dream of psychedelic proportions. Being so close to the sun, and failing to wear proper safety gear, they found themselves wailing upon their instruments at the mercy of Mercurial Madness (which would later become their new band name), the unflattering side effect of star poisoning. Amazingly, what their recorder was able to capture was coherent, pulse-pounding, and brilliant, a feat which they were unable to replicate on their second journey to Mercury where they were never heard from again.
