Oil-Based Life Forms

Original Release Date: 06/15/2781

The pressurized, test-tube-like suits that allowed Titan groovers Oil-Based Life Forms to perform were jarring at first, to say the very least. Born without bones, and sealed in a thin membrane, the literal oil-based members did not let their matter state impede them from putting out the best album of 2781. While almost all citizens of Titan share the same form, it proved difficult to manage their extensive tour when atmospheres that were less generous than their own were begging for them to play. With a grant from the Intergalactic Health Service, a team of doctors, both based on Titan and elsewhere, constructed exo-suits stable enough to allow them to bang out hits like Echo Chamber and 1 + 1 + 2 + 1 without incident. A misunderstanding during their first concert away from home, in the Horse Head Nebula, did cause some confusion and almost ended their career before it could germinate. Were they there to conquer their planet or just their hearts (and ears)? Thankfully, once their infectious beats blared from speakers stacked high into the atmosphere, there was no doubt.
