Stubby Holder

Original Release Date: 09/11/4201

The album cover for Stubby Holder's 4201 release No Time To Relax depicts not the rising of a moon, but the collapse of one, right into the ocean of Centius IX. The image is, of course, an interpretation, as no one from Centius IX survived after the moon, Centac XXVI, finally touched down. It was this momentous event, and the silence that followed, that inspired the vibes on Stubby Holder's third album. No Time To Relax was a warning, that the trappings of life, for any creature could, and would, suddenly come to a head, leaving them no time to escape, no time to ponder, and no time to enjoy what was left. Beach vibes abound on the album from the Neptunian trio, very much inspired by the tasty beats of the Neptunian Welcome Committee (NWC), but a sense of dread lurks around every track. If you knew that the end was nigh, would you be able to relax? There were rumors that a relation of the band had perished in Centac XXVI's devastation, but the tone here is not necessarily somber, there is, strangely, underneath the dread, the urge to relax. Headphones are a must for No Time To Relax, for it is the bass undertones that create the sand bed from which the end of the world, or someone else's world, was about to commence. Sands of Sleep, the lead single, was the plate setter for the feast to come. If you find the time to relax in the waves of electronic vapors, be sure to give No Time To Relax a spin, it will make you appreciate the very last moments, if you're lucky to be in them.
