Ryders ov Amalon

Original Release Date: 10/23/2225

Ryders ov Amalon always found solace in the strange and unusual. Their 2221 album The Pale Witch was an homage to the misunderstood, the protectors who, though they may look evil, always had the best of intentions, for their hearts were full of love. This juxtaposition infiltrated their follow-up album Galactic Tribute, the second in their Three Mothers Trilogy, along with Hearts of Blood. Galactic Tribute was the polar opposite of The Pale Witch, in that the center of their story was an ancient evil that took the form of the pleasing image of a gentle, silent mother. In reality, The Empress of Salvation was the incarnate of thousands of years of horror, able to command legions of the undead and ministries of horrid creatures born in the stew that bubbles beneath the ground. Accidentally awakened to bring about peace, she reigns for 1,000 years, devouring everything in her path and leaving behind empty vessels of bone and skin. Legend has it that the untimely death of a nearby star devoured The Empress, cleansing the Universe of her throne. Others say that 1,000 years was her punishment and that her time had been served. What became of the Empress is truly unknown, and Ryders ov Amalon attempted to synthesize her demise and imagined a much darker fate for a beast who had caused so much devastation. Rife with demonic whistles and a thundering, hellish kick drum, Galactic Tribute is an ironic ode to horrors long since passed. Listen at your own risk.
