Final Transmission

The Doomed Astronauts

Original Release Date: 04/01/0101 AM

Exoplanet X-87B. The source of all life in the universe was the prize. A rare mineral? A condensed ball of energy? God? Whatever it was, the unknown, and unfortunately deceased, crew that was discovered during a reconnaissance mission had sought this source. Dubbed The Doomed Astronauts, their affiliation was never discovered, only a Signal Deck filled with melancholy sounds of their untimely demise. References in static logs indicated a product called “the light” which never materialized. Some say it was a suicide mission, a cult gone awry that had wanted desperately to find meaning in the universe, instead, uncovering only empty memories. The release of the album was not without its own controversies, the families of the deceased forced to hear their loved ones’ final moments belted out on radio stations in between commercials for crispy cheese snacks and space cruiser insurance.

Original Database Entry: Recovered from the wreckage of a module capsule, the Final Transmission was indeed THE final transmission for those who were dubbed The Doomed Astronauts. All proceeds from the sale of the album went to building a memorial on exoplanet X-87B where their vessel malfunctioned, or so the story goes...
