As a prickly asteroid, raging with reintroduction flames, flew across the length of the Holy City, the members of Remove Thy Gods fled. Only children, they knew not why the heavens had been angered and why the destruction of their prosperous city was approved. As the escape vehicles took to the skies, those onboard watched helplessly as the true believers, who insisted help would arrive, burned in the ensuing explosion. Theories permeated the airwaves for decades. Had the rocky beast been manufactured? Had the people of the Holy City veered too far from their purpose? What followed for these three orphans was nothing short of a musical crusade to ensure their own survival. Each of their four albums tackled their descent, and eventual ascent, stemming from that pivotal moment. Crusade IV took listeners into the heart of the Holy City like never before, simulating the heart-thundering moments before and after its annihilation. With their story told, Remove Thy Gods vanished, though a farewell tour clearly had its purpose. To this day, however, their absence is still felt and conspiracies among true believers have proved unsuccessful in locating their whereabouts.
