The Capacitors

Original Release Date: 08/08/3184

In 3184, a time capsule, which had been sealed for one millennium, was finally unearthed to very little fanfare. Most archaeological discoveries had been made in years past (though Count Olympus' discovery in 0044 AM would not be for almost two more millennia), and the excitement of how creatures lived in the long-long-ago was a tiresome, tedious exercise. However, my fellow Audionauts, what lay tucked away in the far corners of the monolith-shaped tomb would have far-reaching ramifications. Not 24 hours prior, four students of the local Hill Valerian High School had gone missing. Musical geniuses, even at their tender age, with prospects of fortune and fame ahead of them, were feared dead. No traces of their once boisterous exuberance could be uncovered. But, what lay tucked away in the far corners of the monolith-shaped tomb was the only clue we truly needed. After having stumbled into the Propulsion Laboratory on campus, they pressed themselves into what they believed was a recording booth. A few button-presses and switch-flicking later and the students were sent back to the year 2184. After a collision with a rogue phonebooth, which was unfortunately sent forward in time (its occupants were never heard from again), the untested time machine burst into flames, melting into a multi-colored puddle of no hope and no return. Destined to leave a message for the future, they used the primitive tools of the 21st century and crafted their debut album Before The Time Machine Had Event Melted, harking back to those precious moments before they were lost to the continuum and before they had become The Capacitors. While they lived, and died, in a time not of their own, the people of 3184 knew that this was a message from the past and a deadly warning of what was to come...
